Ingredients

2 cups cooked chickpeas (or 1 can, drained & rinsed)

1 medium potato (boiled & mashed)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 small onion (finely chopped)

½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes for extra crunch)

1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional, for cheesy flavor)

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp turmeric

½ tsp cumin

Salt & black pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for pan-frying)
Instructions

Mash chickpeas & potato together until smooth.

Mix in garlic, onion, spices, nutritional yeast, and a bit of breadcrumbs until you get a dough-like consistency.

Shape into nuggets (oval or round).

Coat each nugget in breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes for that irresistible crisp.

Air-fry or bake at 200°C (390°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
